On behalf of the Conservatory Orchestra’s Music Director, Andrew Mogrelia, it is my pleasure to announce plans for the 2010-2011 season.
The Conservatory Orchestra will perform six concerts during the coming academic year, including one with principal guest conductor Alasdair Neale. The season also includes Orchestral Workshops with Nicola Luisotti (Music Director, SF Opera) and Peter Oundjian (Music Director, Toronto SO). In October, the SFCM Orchestra will join forces with students from the Sydney Conservatorium to perform an exciting joint concert. In April, the orchestra will accompany the Conservatory Opera, and again this year, the orchestra will give a second performance of one concert each semester. The final program of the year will be part of the SF Opera’s 2011 Ring Festival.
Below you will find links to the coming year’s repertoire and to the season's overall service schedule, as well as our new audition policy and audition repertoire.
